Bemis Breaks Out the Charm for Worst X-Man Ever
It's High-School Disney Channel Special meets X-men in Max Bemis' newest comic series, X-men: Worst X-man Ever. This issue is a great blend of dark comedy and teenage drama, about a kid who discovers he carries the mutant gene only to find out his power is a one-use kinda deal. His journey to find his place in the X-men squad promises to be full of action and fun as he finds his place in the world.
The series grabs iconic mutants from all across the timelines, featuring Jubilee, a teenage Kitty Pride and a very-alive, yellow-jumpsuit-clad Wolverine. Perhaps it is this lack of hard continuity that lets Bemis create his own X-man, considering Marvel's moratorium on new X-men after its recent battle with Fox over the mutants' movie properties. Ratings-wise, I'd probably give it a “light PG” that leans closer to “All-Ages” than “Teen.” Pick it up today to check out the newest X-man!
