3/27/2023 - Marvel Studios is reaching back in time to 2008 to bring back actress Liv Tyler to reprise her role from THE INCREDIBLE HULK as Betty Ross. The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop:"Tyler has joined the cast of Captain America 4, currently titled Captain America: New World Order. She will reprise the role of scientist Betty Ross. 3/8/2023 - Disney and Lucasfilm has had a Star Wars movie problem development since the release of STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER back in 2019. As is, there's been nothing in production yet.According to Variety, Disney and Lucasfilm are reportedly not moving forward with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige's Star Wars movie as well as director Patty Jenkins' planned Star Wars movie, ROGUE SQUADRON. Variety exclusively reports: "In December 2020, Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy announced that 'Wonder Woman' helmer Patty Jenkins would direct the next 'Star Wars' movie, the one-off adventure 'Rogue Squadron.' But in September 2022, Disney pulled the title from its scheduled December 2023 release, and sources with knowledge of the production say it is no longer in active development at the studio. 2/14/2023 - ***THIS IS A SPOILER-FREE REVIEW.***Before I get into anything with ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA, let me make a bold statement first. I feel like this is more of a true STAR WARS homage than anything the studio has ever done. With saying that, you might think, “Um... Marvel Studios’ homage to Star Wars is the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY franchise.” And my response after seeing this last night at my press screener is to say you’re wrong. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is the studios’ homage to the space opera, while QUANTUMANIA does in fact feel like more of a direct homage to the STAR WARS franchise. 4/7/2023 - Right now Star Wars Celebration is happening in the U.K. and Lucasfilm has finally announced their live action film plans which include not one, not two, but three new films. Also part of this announcement is the directors of each, as well as a tease of what each movie will entail.First, will be director James Mangold's movie which is already titled STAR WARS: DAWN OF THE JEDI. This film will take place thousands of years before the Skywalker Saga during the Old Republic Era. Mangold teased his Star Wars film will feature the very first Jedi and the discovery and first use of The Force.Next up will be director Dave Filoni who will helm a Star Wars movie based within the timeline of THE MANDALORIAN timeline. 4/28/2023 - ***This is a spoiler-free review.*** Writer and director James Gunn has returned to the franchise that rose him superstar status in the Hollywood writing and directing community to conclude his trilogy for this iteration of the team.In typical Gunn fashion there’s silliness, humor, fun, weirdness, emotion, and a bit of gore. The gore is both a surprise and not a surprise seeing as how Gunn tapped into his Troma movie days providing some rather gruesome moments which is a surprise for the Disney-owned Marvel Studios, but to be fair, Marvel has recently been testing the boundaries of what can and can’t be included in their PG-13 offerings. While there’s no red blood in the gory scenes, there’s plenty of alien-colored blood splattered throughout, which is in fact the loophole to prevent an R movie rating.The story revolves around Rocket Raccoon.
